He has co-authored five books: SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT, SALES FORECASTING MANAGEMENT, SIMULATED PRODUCT SALES FORECASTING, MARKETING TODAY, and READINGS IN MARKETING TODAY and edited the monograph MARKETING EDUCATION SOFTWARE. About the Author

Father John Laux, M.A., was a high school religion teacher who wrote his own Catholic curricular books after spending a large number of years teaching and researching. Very informative and well organized.

Very helpful for the novice and veteran defender of the faith.

Number 4 in a Short Course in Religion. Even though the book is 80 years old it is still a good place to turn for a brief and basic coverage of the topic. Good for an intermediate primer. I would personally recommend it for children a little younger than the target High School audience, maybe 6th-7th grade. Supplemental material is needed to expand what is covered in the book, but that is stated in the book itself along with suggestions for further reading. The book succeeds in it's intended goal, a brief coverage of the topic to serve as a basis for class.

Exactly what I was looking for.

It offers succinct, clear and deep explanations to defend the Catholic faith. It is a classic, timeless work that can be depended on.

It's so dated. We are not going to use it. While I've used the other Fr. Laux books in this series, this particular one has really no use. There are much better apologetic texts out there.

written in 1928, it has a style that is difficult for me to read and I'm returning it. I don't think it is accessible to the average reader seeking to learn about apologetics. It may even be a teacher's manual, not a student book like I thought based on the "16 year old" comment in description. Am returning it, but it may be an ok book for someone.

This is the fourth, or capstone, book in Father John's series on the Catholic religion. Here, Father John presents a firm grounding regarding the ultimate reasonables of the Catholic Faith. In studying philosophia perennis, we see the influence of that discipline in Father's most excellent writing and exposition. All who truly desire to adhere to Saint Peter's admonition to have always a sound reason for our Faith would to do well by reading this wonderful little book.
